Rarely ever do I see an apparent manifestation of magic so bizarre that I can take a picture of it and it shows. I went to mail a fairly major thing the other day and this was the local UPS shop. Closed even though it was blown wide open because… a truck run straight into the door. Just. Like. That.
You may wonder, what is this shit? An apparent act of random violence destruction that has some affinity with my timeline but doesn’t affect me in any major way, I just mailed it elsewhere the next day.
These are typical effects of unmanifest baneful magic that cannot attach to the target so it ends up blowing up something somebody else somewhere near.
A person gets shot at your grocery store. Somebody runs a truck into the local UPS office hours before you arrive there. And… that’s about all you can do to me. That, and the cat pees in my luggage, or spits out a smelly hairball on the floor. So, what?
Vomit gets cleaned, bricks rebuilt, but those who evoked powers of magick in vain and for petty vengeance will see them turned against them and one day, sooner or later, they will get to pay the price. There is always the butcher’s bill to pay.
