Do You Even Black Magick, Bro?

A treatise on the double edged sword of our beliefs in magic.

One thing that I have observed over the years in the spiritual occult community is that

  1. Everybody blames magick and enemies on shit gone wrong in their lives, while at the same time
  2. When actual enemies strike and magick manifest they fail to acknowledge that, and nobody believes them

Like, you gotta pick and choose. Seriously. If magic is real, and it caused you so much damage, that you messed up a ritual, then your enemies’ magic must also work.

Now, if magic is simply an excuse not to take responsibility for your life, then I guess it’s fair game to blame a poorly executed sigil on a major blowup in your life.

It is fascinating how many people take the most crooked road and fail to take responsibility for their lives and actions, blaming it on magic. Then they display the same level of ignorance by claiming that their enemies’ magic couldn’t have worked. Or they blame enemy magic on everything that went wrong in their lives, all while failing to acknowledge how their own magic and actions create their reality.

You gotta pick one of these two worldviews. You can even hold them simultaneously, or alternate, but you gotta stop being half-assed:

a) Magick is real and, in fact, all-powerful. It manifests everything in your life. Everything is magic, and can be, and should be, resolved by magick.

b) You create your own destiny with your actions, and nobody else and nothing else can be held accountable.

When you doubt your enemy’s magick, what it does is that it makes your own magick weak.

If you refuse to take responsibility for your actions, then you deprive yourself of the possibility to fix your life through your action and get to depend on metaphysical power.

Which you don’t really believe in.

Believe in Magick.
Believe in yourself.

If you can’t do that, believe (in) me. I know what I am doing.
